Refining external power

1. The martial soul attracts external Soul Power, especially power aligned with its own attributes. Meditation methods and Mental Power guide it through the body and meridians toward the soul nest 1637.
2. The martial soul performs an initial purification, removing impurities and stabilizing the relatively violent external power 1637.
3. Original Soul Power and the Soul Power Seed refine the purified energy into usable Refined Soul Power 1637.
4. Martial soul quality, bodily affinity, cultivation environment, meditation method, and the user’s physique affect absorption speed, refinement efficiency, quantity, and quality 1637.

Circulatory cycles

Levels, Aptitude, and Growth

• Innate Soul Power narrowly refers to the Original Soul Power held in the Soul Power Seed at awakening. Broadly, it also includes the physique and bloodline factors affecting Soul Power affinity and absorption speed 1637.
• Innate Soul Power is the portion of Innate Qi preserved by the martial soul before it dissipates after birth; higher-quality martial souls retain it more effectively 1509.
• A Soul Power Level reflects the quality of the Soul Power Seed and the Original Soul Power it produces. Advancement improves Soul Power’s amount, purity, stability, associated abilities, and potentially the martial soul itself 1637.
