Suddenly the surrounding light distorted, as if nothing had changed, but certain essences constituting space and time—in other words, the fundamental rules of physics—had changed.
It was hard for anyone else to notice this change, and they probably would have died without ever understanding what had happened.
Ninti was different, however; in those eyes infinitely close to the Vessel of Knowledge, everything was laid bare without exception.
Pitter-patter—
Ninti poured herself another cup of tea.
Opposite her, the existing yet invisible figure did not pick up the teacup.
"Since you aren't here to drink tea with me, are you trying to emulate the Arbitrators, Polkakakamu?"
"In a sense, I am indeed doing something similar to an Arbitrator. But what I see far surpasses them, hence, I simply came to take a look at you."
"You've been to the Simulated Universe?"
"Yes, I wanted to see you last time, but back then you and the Vessel of Knowledge were together, and I couldn't gaze upon you."
Ninti picked up her own teacup.
At the same time, the teacup opposite remained motionless, yet the tea inside decreased by a fraction out of thin air.
Obviously, Polkakakamu drank it, proving that at least for this moment she harbored no hostility.
"What do you want to see?"
"I want to see how far you have walked. The present universe cannot yet contain a Perfect Scholar."
"Then what did you see?"
"I don't know."
Polkakakamu sighed.
This was a matter of course.
The Perfect Scholar was the path she was walking, and whether one was on it or not was clear at a glance.
Ninti was not walking this path; she had stepped directly onto the position of an existing Aeon, gazing at the universe from an Aeon's perspective. This already transcended Polkakakamu's cognition, and
