Background / History

Ye Xing is the sole prince of the Demon Race. After his father was murdered by the Demon Race Great Elder, he fled into human territory while being pursued. During his escape, he found the corpse of Fu Lingyun—the real son of Azure Cloud Palace Lord Fu Hanqiu, who had died during a childhood trial—and assumed his appearance. He concealed his race with the Immortal Grade Eighth Tier Divine Demon Token, entered Azure Cloud Palace as its Holy Son, and gradually began restoring his original appearance. 8 12

Despite stealing Fu Lingyun's identity, Ye Xing bears no hostility toward Azure Cloud Palace. He comes to regard Fu Hanqiu as a half-father. 8

Xia Wantang's discovery of his demonic cultivation initially makes Ye Xing consider eliminating her. Her explanation convinces him that she did not uncover his secret, however, and he agrees to daily sword practice so he can keep her under observation and potentially use her as a pawn. 8 9
