The moon climbed to the middle of the sky.
The lake finally calmed. Dai Yao and Bibi Dong lay relaxed on the beach, not caring in the slightest that sand was stuck to their bodies.
Much of Bibi Dong's clothing was soaked, and the two locks of hair at her temples clung tightly to her cheeks. Her hands were folded over her abdomen as she gulped in air, her soft chest rising and falling, her face filled with an unrestrained smile.

Gazing at the stars and bright moon in the night sky, Bibi Dong looked a little dazed.
For many years, she had lived in pain, regret, and an obsession with revenge. She had long forgotten what happiness was.
