Under normal circumstances, starships remained docked at starports unless they needed repairs or maintenance.
At first, the starport had not noticed that a starship had simply vanished, because there were too many starships in the port.
It was like a parking lot on Blue Star. Normally, one only watched the vehicles entering and leaving. Unless necessary, who would look at the cars parked in their spaces? Later, when the military strictly investigated starship movements, the starport cooperated as well, but it still did not promptly inspect the condition of every starship.
Only after all the preparations were complete did the starport begin taking stock of the starships.
The inventory immediately revealed that one starship was missing, so they promptly pulled up the surveillance footage.
