Red Leaf Ridge becomes the base of a newly arrived, highly secretive cultivation group led by Qu Jianlei. Its new masters handle local affairs methodically: when the Feng Family is implicated in banditry, they allow the family to leave rather than carry out a public purge. Yin Family Fort later kills the Feng Family itself after unsuccessfully trying to provoke Red Leaf Ridge into revealing its methods. The ridge's Nascent Soul cultivators are aware of Yin Family Fort's schemes throughout 1879 1887.
