People only unleashed their potential when they were at their most desperate and helpless.

That kick I had just delivered must have been like that.

Under normal circumstances, there was no way I could have thrown such a powerful kick. Even Chu Ge might not have been able to kick that hard.

At that thought, something seemed to dawn on me.

Fatty had once said that I possessed the same abilities as Duan Hongbin and the other two. I had simply relied on them too much. His purpose in sealing the three of them away had been to make me grow on my own and awaken that ability within me.

Perhaps he had been right.

Wuyin Chuanjie was probably watching me right now, though he had hidden himself behind that mask.

He was beginning to feel uncertain. He did not know whether my three companions had truly been sealed away.

He still knew something about me. He had seen that kick just now, and it clearly should not have been within my own capabilities.

So he hesitated too. He did not dare gamble.

Once again, the balance of advantage had shifted between us.

"Fine, I can let you see Abe Ichinan, but don't you dare try anything. At worst, we'll both be destroyed. If I truly can't have it, I don't mind destroying it."

He reluctantly accepted reality.

The tension in my heart finally eased.

He lightly clapped his hands, and the lights came on.

All the ghost flames vanished. This time, I really was inside the wooden cabin, right where I had entered earlier. The door was behind me.

But there was another door in front of me. He said coldly, "Go in."

I glanced at him and the man in black. "I want to talk to her alone."
