Just when I was brimming with confidence, certain that I could hurt the Three-legged Golden Crow, something bizarre happened.
The enormous Three-legged Golden Crow suddenly shrank until it was the size of a sparrow. My attack naturally missed. It nimbly flipped and darted through the air, letting out smug cries as though mocking me.
I was a little angry, but what could I do? With the target suddenly becoming so small, shooting it became much harder. I had never received professional training, so my marksmanship was obviously nothing to brag about.
