Background and History
As a young alchemist, Fa Ma struggled even to refine first-grade pills. A chance meeting with Yao Chen brought him guidance that he credited with helping him attain his later position, although Yao Chen attributed his success to his own hard work 278.
As president of the Alchemist Guild, Fa Ma tested Xiao Zhen's attributes and Soul Power. Impressed by the boy's exceptional aptitude, he accepted him as a disciple and gave him the low-grade Earth-tier Seven Revolutions True Flame Art. Because guild duties limited his teaching time, he assigned his assistant Chemier to instruct Xiao Zhen in alchemy fundamentals 6 7 8.
Fa Ma continued to back Xiao Zhen as his skills developed. He let him take costly ingredients from the guild warehouse on credit, bought the Heavenly Flame Furnace at auction for twenty-five million gold coins, and gave it to him for the Alchemist Grand Meeting 192 205 206. After reuniting with Yao Chen, Fa Ma studied under him and became a Sixth-grade Alchemist 278 300.
