Yu Tianlin hunted powerful soul beasts and used their heavenly tribulations to increase his First Soul Ring’s age, while fighting off Spirit Hall and the rulers of the Far North. He claimed the Thunder God Hammer, then reunited with Shui Bing'er and headed to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Sect to learn what had happened during his absence.

• Bibi Dong fought the Azure Dragon and Titan Giant Ape until the Azure Dragon’s heavenly tribulation began, then Yu Yuanzhen and Yu Tianlin arrived as the sides faced off.
• Yu Tianlin intercepted the Azure Dragon’s tribulation lightning, raised his First Soul Ring’s age, and helped Yu Yuanzhen kill the wounded Azure Dragon after the Titan Giant Ape died.
• Yu Tianlin absorbed the Azure Dragon’s Soul Ring, received the Dragon Slaying Blade from Yu Yuanzhen, and set out for the Far North while Qian Daoliu sent Golden Crocodile Douluo after him.
• Yu Tianlin fought Golden Crocodile Douluo and the Vermilion Ice Toads, then found and captured the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm in an underground ice cave.
• Yu Tianlin triggered three heavenly tribulations for Sky Dream Ice Silkworm and used their lightning to raise his First Soul Ring’s age, drawing the attention of the Far North’s rulers.
• Yu Tianlin escaped the Ice Empress and Golden Crocodile Douluo, defeated Thousand Ton Douluo with Thunder God’s Judgment, and continued toward Thunderbolt Canyon.
• Yu Tianlin claimed the Thunder God Hammer and cleared the lightning from Thunderbolt Canyon, then traveled to Heaven Dou City with Sky Dream Ice Silkworm.
• Yu Tianlin reunited with Shui Bing'er, gave her the remaining Ten Thousand Year Cold Marrow, and left to learn what had happened at the Blue Lightning Tyrant Sect during his absence.

Yu Tianlin gained the Water-Fire Dragon Kings’ arm bones, helped Heaven Dou defeat Spirit Hall’s army, and set out with Yu Yuanzhen to claim a ninth soul ring from Di Tian. Their trap failed when Di Tian reclaimed the Dragon Slaying Blade and attacked Yu Tianlin.

• Yu Tianlin traded a three-hundred-thousand-year Azure Dragon Torso Bone to Xue Ye for the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud, then failed to find anyone able to gain its recognition.
• Yu Tianlin cultivated in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well until he reached rank ninety, then absorbed the Water and Fire Dragon Kings’ arm bones and collapsed from the ordeal.
• Yu Tianlin learned that three years had passed and Spirit Hall had formed an empire, then joined Heaven Dou’s leaders as they prepared for war.
• Yu Tianlin and Yu Yuanzhen fought Bibi Dong and Spirit Hall’s consecrators in battle, helping Heaven Dou rout the opposing army and force its retreat to Jialing Pass.
• After Heaven Dou withdrew from Jialing Pass, Yu Tianlin and Yu Yuanzhen traveled to the Star Dou Great Forest to draw out Di Tian and obtain Yu Tianlin’s ninth soul ring.
• Di Tian used the Dragon God Claw to seize the Dragon Slaying Blade from Yu Yuanzhen, then attacked Yu Tianlin, whose Water-Fire Dragon King soul bones resisted the blade’s restraining aura.

Yu Tianlin defeated Di Tian, survived attacks from Qian Daoliu and Qian Renxue, and recruited Bi Ji, Ice Empress, and Snow Empress for his plan to use multiple soul beasts’ heavenly tribulations to reach godhood. The arc ended with Yu Tianlin forcing the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King away from the sea after striking his chest gem with the Eight-Colored Dragon Horn.

• Yu Tianlin defeated Di Tian with the newly formed Eight-Colored Dragon Horn, then spent a year absorbing Di Tian’s Soul Ring while suppressing his soul in his Spiritual Sea.
• Qian Daoliu and Qian Renxue attacked Yu Yuanzhen and the still-absorbing Yu Tianlin, but Yu Tianlin awakened, defeated them, and destroyed the Angel God Set soul bone.
• After recovering and reaching level 97, Yu Tianlin asked Yu Yuanzhen to bring the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm to an agreed location, then set out to recruit powerful soul beasts.
• Yu Tianlin persuaded Bi Ji to accompany him, healed the injured Ice Empress, and defeated the Snow Empress before revealing his plan to combine several heavenly tribulations to pursue godhood.
• The Snow Empress and Ice Empress agreed to join Yu Tianlin, who then traveled with them and Bi Ji to recruit the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King.
• Yu Tianlin fought the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King over the sea and drew him farther from the water, then struck the king’s hammers and chest gem with the Eight-Colored Dragon Horn and ordered him to fly higher.
