Mu Yu looked at his short sleeves, then at the drifting goose-feather snowflakes, and let out a long sigh.

He wasn't cold, but his hairline... was in danger!

He had endured for so long in the One Piece World, waiting for winter to pass. Yet the moment he entered the Demon Slayer World, it was winter again.

"Hurry up, the town is still a long way away. Nezuko, your brother definitely won't let you die!"

"I'll save you. Your brother will definitely save you!"

Though he was far away, Mu Yu immediately sensed the nearly overflowing sorrow in Tanjiro's heart, as well as his determination to save Nezuko at any cost.

At that moment, Nezuko, who had already become a demon, woke up. Sharp fangs grew from her mouth, and her face became incomparably ferocious.

The moment she awoke, she began roaring and struggling!

The mountain path leading down to the town was piled high with white snow, and a small cliff lay to its left.

"Not good!"

Nezuko's violent struggling caught Tanjiro off guard. With a cry, he fell over the cliff together with Nezuko.

Lying in the snow, Tanjiro panted in fright.

"The thick snow on the ground saved us, but it was also because of the snow that we slipped."

"Nezuko, Nezuko, are you okay?"

Tanjiro looked around and spotted Nezuko, who had already gotten to her feet but was hanging her head.

"Nezuko, you don't need to walk. I'll carry you to town!"

As Tanjiro spoke, he ran toward Nezuko with concern.

But what greeted him was—

Nezuko, starving and baring her fangs and claws as she pounced at him!

Having become a demon, Nezuko no longer recognized Tanjiro as her brother.

In Nezuko's eyes, Tanjiro was merely food to fill her stomach. Nothing more!

Seeing a demon for the first time, Tanjiro was caught completely off guard and was directly pinned to the ground by Nezuko.

Had he not shoved the handle of his axe into Nezuko's mouth at the critical moment, he would likely have become his demon sister's meal.

They were clearly siblings, clearly blood-related family closer than anyone else. Yet because one of them had become a demon, they had turned into predator and prey.

What terrible misfortune. There was no greater sorrow in the human world!

When Mu Yu had watched the show, he had felt the sorrow piercing straight through the screen.

But seeing it with his own eyes, especially under the perception of Observation Haki, that endless grief nearly crushed Mu Yu until he could barely breathe.

Seeing Nezuko's ferocious face, Tanjiro was utterly shocked. "Th-this is a Maneater demon?"

In that instant, Tanjiro remembered what Grandpa Saburo, who had taken him in for the night, had said.

Nezuko was a Maneater demon?

The unexpected revelation struck Tanjiro so hard that he nearly doubted his entire life!

Nezuko, his little sister—how could she possibly be a Maneater demon?

However, Tanjiro dismissed that possibility the very next moment.

Because he had watched Nezuko being born!

Yet Tanjiro could also clearly smell a scent on Nezuko that was completely different from usual. It was not the scent a human should have.

Tanjiro's nose was even sharper than a dog's. He could tell that the demon who had killed his mother and younger siblings was not Nezuko.

Most importantly, when Nezuko had collapsed, she had shielded her youngest brother Rokuta beneath her. There was no blood on her hands or in her mouth.

The killer was definitely someone else!

Because there had been another scent in the house!

But at that moment, Tanjiro was shocked to discover that Nezuko had grown larger!

After growing larger, Nezuko's strength became truly outrageous. Tanjiro was starting to lose his hold.

From the treetop, Mu Yu could even see Tanjiro's axe handle being pushed closer and closer to Tanjiro's body.

If he had not known what happened next, Mu Yu might even have suspected that Tanjiro was about to be eaten by Nezuko.

At that moment, Tanjiro's overflowing emotions surged into Mu Yu's mind once more.

Facing Nezuko, who wanted to eat him, Tanjiro felt no hatred. There was only regret.

"While I was sleeping soundly at someone else's house, everyone suffered something so terrible. It must have hurt. It must have been so painful. I'm sorry... I couldn't save you all."

"At least I have to save Nezuko!"

Tears streamed down Tanjiro's face. "Nezuko, hang on! Nezuko, endure it, hang on! Don't become a demon. Hang on, hang on!"

What incredible gentleness. He was clearly about to be eaten, yet all he could think about was saving her.

"Hang on!"

Perhaps it was a miracle. Perhaps Tanjiro's efforts had moved the heavens.

Nezuko, who had wanted only to devour him and satisfy her hunger... cried!

Tears as large as beans continuously fell, landing on Tanjiro's face and warming his heart.

At that instant, Mu Yu could practically "see" a ray of sunlight shining into Tanjiro's heart!

Having Observation Haki that was too powerful was not necessarily a good thing. It had even made his eyes sting with tears. It seemed he needed to learn to control his Observation Haki more precisely!

Otherwise, he would not be able to stop himself from interfering with the fates of the main cast!!!

A series of hurried footsteps rang out. Mu Yu followed the sound with his eyes, and who else could it be but Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira?

He moved extremely fast. Though he stepped upon the snow, his footing was exceptionally steady. Without the slightest hesitation, he drew his Nichirin Blade and slashed toward Nezuko's neck.

As he prepared to kill Nezuko, who had become a demon, Giyu Tomioka felt not the slightest emotional fluctuation.

In Mu Yu's perception, Giyu's heart was like an ancient well without a ripple.

For Giyu, whose duty was to slay demons, this was an utterly ordinary matter.

But just as Giyu was about to sever Nezuko's neck, his calm, well-like state of mind rippled for the first time.

He saw the human who had been pinned to the ground by the demon and was about to be eaten push the demon away. He had even exposed his own head beneath Giyu's blade without hesitation.

At the same time, Giyu felt an icy chill behind him that made his heart tremble!

What was going on?

Was an even stronger demon hiding behind him?

However, the sword in Giyu's hand had already fallen.

With one slash, a large section of Tanjiro's reddish-brown hair was cut away.

The force of the blade did not diminish, whipping up a blizzard that sent both Nezuko and Tanjiro crashing into a large tree.

Yet Giyu immediately turned around and searched behind him.

Nothing. Why was there nothing?

He had clearly sensed such intense killing intent just now. What was going on?
