Mu Yu and Shinobu Kocho were incredibly fast. Even the Kakushi handling the aftermath had not noticed the two of them leaving.
But Shinobu still noticed that the distance between herself and Mu Yu was steadily widening.
Watching Mu Yu's retreating figure about to vanish, Shinobu grew anxious.
"Wait, please wait!"
Unfortunately, Mu Yu did not stop.
Shinobu shouted, "If you hate demons so much, why not join the Demon Slayer Corps?"
"Sorry, I have no intention of finding myself a master!"
Mu Yu's voice drifted over from afar, like an echo left lingering between heaven and earth.
Shinobu was awestruck.
Mu Yu had completely vanished from sight, yet his voice could still carry so far. His strength was self-evident.
If Mu Yu joined the Demon Slayer Corps, its strength would absolutely rise to another level.
"You don't need to worry about that at all. The Master has never treated us as subordinates, nor has he ever ordered us to do anything we did not want to do. Rather than subordinates, we're more like friends!"
Unfortunately, there was no response.
Looking at the empty Cherry Blossom Sea, Shinobu's heart filled with regret.
Though they had only spent a short time together, Mu Yu had left an exceptionally deep impression on Shinobu.
He was handsome, courteous, overwhelmingly powerful, and most importantly, he seemed to be someone she and her sister had known before.
Shinobu racked her brains, but she simply could not remember where she had met Mu Yu.
She considered her memory fairly good. Besides, someone as outstanding as Mu Yu should not have been so thoroughly forgotten.
Yet she just could not remember!
Where had she seen him before?
Could Mu Yu have once been a patient her sister had treated, or an orphan she had rescued from demons
