In the quiet room, Luo Chen looked at the Tier 2 Pill Formula in his hand and made an offhand complaint.
Why give a perfectly good pill a name like Dustfall Pill?

At its root, the path of Qi Refining was Refining Essence into Qi, then Refining Qi into Spirit!
Refining Essence into Qi encompassed the Qi Refining Stage, Foundation Establishment Stage, and Golden Core Stage.
It meant drawing energy from the body's innate essence to break through realms, ultimately forming the great pill within the human body: the Golden Core.
But the human body was frail, far weaker than those of the myriad races.
How much essence could one mere body refine?
And so, sages of the Human Race had devised a way to cultivate by absorbing the spiritual energy drifting between heaven and earth.
In that sense, the orthodox cultivation methods of the Cultivation World had already departed from the original path of Refining Essence into Qi.
Or rather, cultivators remained on that path, but what they refined was not their own essence. It was the essence of heaven and earth.
Once they had made some progress in cultivation, they would even naturally condense Essence Blood within their bodies, containing Essence, Qi, and Spirit.
