Background / History

The Luo Tian Association was founded by Luo Chen, known publicly as Pill Dust Master, in the aftermath of the Mountain Shattering Gang's collapse. It gathered surviving former gang members while openly recruiting other rogue cultivators, presenting itself as both a continuation of the Mountain Shattering Gang's lineage and a new organization centered on Luo Chen's pill dao. 146 148

Its original structure comprised four halls: Pill, Merit, War, and Gold. Granny Yuan became Deputy Hall Master of the Pill Hall, Murong Qinglian took charge of the Merit Hall, and Gu Cai Yi led the Gold Hall. Luo Chen left the War Hall Master position open while awaiting Wang Yuan's return. 146 148

The association initially avoided competing for territory and resources, instead calling on former Mountain Shattering Gang members to return. Its pill business, managed through Luo Chen's alchemy and association-controlled sales, became its economic foundation. 148 149

The Luo Tian Association established its military reputation during its conflict with the Fu Family. Its high-end Qi Refining combatants, led in battle by Wang Yuan and Duan Feng, overwhelmed the Fu Family's forces; Luo Chen used the campaign to secure the association's standing in Great River Market. 155

After the battle at Little Huan Mountain, the association relocated its headquarters there while retaining cultivators at Slanting Moon Valley. Luo Chen personally treated the wounded, strengthening internal loyalty. 188 By the time Luo Chen returned from three years of seclusion, Little Huan Mountain had become its established headquarters, and the association had risen to become the fifth major Foundation Establishment power in Great River Market. 200

Under Sima Hui Niang's administration, the association expanded beyond its original four-hall framework. The association later based itself at Danxia Peak in the Sky Wave Immortal City region. At its height before the Luo Tian Battle, it possessed the Luo Tian Nine Halls, eight Foundation Establishment cultivators, thousands of disciples, multiple commercial enterprises, and the backing of both Ice Fortress and Azure Pill Valley. 354

During the Luo Tian Battle, an alliance led by Flame Alliance interests attacked Danxia Peak. The association's mountain-protection formation, controlled by Min Longyu, repelled its first wave of attacks and proved central to its survival. 408 410 Although it suffered heavy losses, the battle raised its prestige and attracted further Foundation Establishment cultivators. 416

Luo Chen later prepared his Core Formation Ceremony to coincide with the Luo Tian Association's formal establishment as the Luo Tian Sect, donating cultivation methods and self-created secret techniques to form the sect's library and inheritance. 464
