This made her, someone who had been drowning in despair, grab onto a lifeline like a drowning person, suddenly sparking with hope.
Maybe he could save her and her ex-girlfriend's lives!
Queen Maeve's eyes gradually regained their vitality as she subconsciously looked toward Su Quan.
"Whoosh--"
A figure flickered, and Su Quan, who had been trading Heat Vision with Homelander, suddenly vanished from Queen Maeve's sight.
The next moment, he appeared behind Homelander, swinging his fist straight at the back of his head with a heavy blow.
"Bam!"
The punch, carrying his maximum strength output, sent the caught-off-guard Homelander crashing to the ground, skidding far forward--
A stalemated Heat Vision couldn't beat an opponent with stronger defenses than himself, and Su Quan hadn't expected to win with Heat Vision either; his greatest advantage was the strength Queen Maeve had already verified!
After taking that punch, Homelander shook his head, slowly rising with his hands on the ground and knees. The pain and the humiliation of being knocked down ignited a blazing rage, completely stripping him of reason.
"Die--I want you dead--everyone has to die!!!"
Su Quan wasn't intimidated by Homelander's hysterical fury; it was just impotent rage. He shouted back, "Die your mother's ass," and instantly appeared in front of Homelander, mounting his face for a direct assault.
The Heat Vision blasting from his eyes sent Homelander, who had just risen and hadn't steadied himself, stumbling backward. Su Quan closed in with a swift step, swinging his fists left and right across his face.
"Bam bam bam--bam bam bam--" The thunderous sound of fists rained down like a violent storm, arriving in an instant.
Homelander tried several times to defend and find a rhythm to counterattack, but each time Su Quan's overwhelming, unstoppable assault beat him back.
Gradually--
Homelander's rage was beaten out of him, and he completely lost the ability to fight back.
For the first time, he felt pain, suffered such severe injuries, and sensed the closeness and terror of death.
His lofty, self-worshipping mindset was utterly shattered. He panicked, he grew afraid--
Warm, wet tears streamed from his eyes, and in his fearful gaze, there was even a clear, visible plea!
Su Quan paused in surprise, his bloodstained fists halting.
Homelander was crying?
Homelander was actually crying from my beating?!!!
Homelander's mental state was indeed abnormal and unstable. Raised in a lab from childhood, lacking love and care, overwhelmingly powerful yet never having faced real hardship, he was nothing but a violent, cruel man-child with a mother complex!
But breaking down into tears this easily was too ridiculous. Where was the promised dark Superman?
How could Queen Maeve, who feared him like a tiger, and the others, make sense of this?
Thinking back to Queen Maeve's terror of him earlier, and the despair and darkness in her words, "Everyone will bow to him, and you'll be no exception,"
And now looking at this sniveling, pleading Homelander before him--
It was like comedy's mother opening comedy's door--comedy to the max!
Su Quan disdainfully grabbed his cape, wiped the blood off his hands, then rubbed a few times on his face, cleaning off the blood and tears.
"You can get lost now."
Such humiliating actions and words didn't make Homelander fly into a rage; instead, he showed relief and gratitude, as if he'd narrowly escaped death.
With a complex glance at Queen Maeve, whose legs couldn't close--no, whose mouth couldn't close--Homelander blasted away with a roar.
Queen Maeve understood that look, and so did Su Quan.
He wanted Queen Maeve dead here!
As long as Queen Maeve died, no one would know what happened here, and he wouldn't have to worry about her showing up in front of him, constantly reminding him of today's events!
Queen Maeve was certain that even if she managed to leave this place alive, Homelander would find a chance to kill her.
Now there was only one path forward!
Queen Maeve slowly approached Su Quan, dropping to one knee with a thud. "I--"
"Hold on."
Su Quan pulled out his phone and opened the recording mode. "Go ahead."
Queen Maeve's face flushed with shifting colors, and she spoke with difficulty, "I am Queen Maeve, I--I am Maeve. I will pledge my loyalty to you!"
Su Quan put his phone away with satisfaction. "I accept your loyalty. Remember, my name is Su Quan--the 'Quan' of Omniscient & Omnipotent!"
An unfamiliar name, an arrogant tone. Queen Maeve knew nothing of his identity or background, but one thing was clear: he had beaten Homelander and had the strength to protect both her and Elena!
Leaving the devastated abandoned factory, Su Quan gave Queen Maeve the hotel address and opened the system.

"Ding!"
"Combat detected. Reward dropped: 2 Points."
"Ding!"
"Combat detected. Reward dropped: Super Speed (A-Train)."
The sudden, completely unexpected reward drop made Su Quan open his eyes in surprise. He called for Queen Maeve to stop the car, even though nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Queen Maeve pulled over in confusion and looked back, only to see Su Quan staring out the window with a bemused expression. Curious, she turned her head to follow his gaze.
One look, and she froze.
On the curb in front of an electronics store stood a man, his face and body splattered with blood and gore. His outstretched hands still clutched two severed arms.
Before him, flesh and blood lay smeared across the ground like mud.
Not far away, a Black man in a blue uniform, equally drenched in blood, stammered nervously as he tried to explain himself.
"I couldn't stop—I couldn't stop—I couldn't stop—"
As he spoke, he frantically put on his bloodstained sunglasses and turned to flee.
"Whoosh—"
In the blink of an eye, he vanished at lightning speed, escaping the scene.
"Damn it, that's A-Train. God, what did that bastard do—shit, fuck!" Queen Maeve cursed under her breath, furious as she pieced together what had happened.
Su Quan glanced at Hughie, who had just snapped out of his shock and started screaming his girlfriend's name, then signaled Queen Maeve to drive away.
A-Train's ability was Super Speed, like The Flash or Quicksilver.
That scene was one of the iconic, gruesome moments—and the starting point for Hughie, an ordinary man, to join The Boys and fight against The Seven and Vought International!
Hughie was A-Train's biggest fan, yet his girlfriend had been splattered all over the street by the very hero he admired. Talk about irony.
Picking up A-Train's Super Speed for free was certainly a pleasant surprise—the ability was powerful and highly practical—but Su Quan couldn't muster much excitement.
It wasn't that he was being melodramatic, mourning over this tragedy. It was just that a saying came to mind: "Everything is fate; nothing is up to man!"
To break free from the shackles of fate and take control of his own destiny, he needed strength that surpassed everything else.
The next morning.
The weather was gloomy, the entire sky a dull, bruised blue.
Su Quan pushed Super Speed to its limit, running with abandon. The unparalleled velocity and the exhilarating, unrestrained motion gave him an indescribable sense of release.
Running releases dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter linked to pleasure and sensation, transmitting signals of excitement and joy.
