This had created the largest trade market along the border, and Sunset City had risen to prominence because of it.
Over these years, Sunset City had become the sole dominant power. Aside from beast tides, there was almost no internal strife, allowing Bianzhou to develop to the fullest.
By comparison, Ling Province's development had been far less smooth. Before the Song Clan Ancestor Song Taiyi arrived in Ling Province, no Purple Mansion-level force had emerged there for a long time. Ling Province had thus fallen into chaotic warfare that lasted several centuries, missing out on hundreds of years of development while its already scarce resources were severely consumed.
After the Song Clan took root in Ling Province, it remained stable for only a few centuries. Following Song Yungui's passing, it descended into chaos again, only gradually stabilizing after Song Xianming broke through to the Purple Palace Stage more than a century later.
