Gene New Talent Competition

Before the Gene New Talent Competition, Qin Hai had never failed to take first place in any competition he entered. He delayed entering the event until he believed he could claim absolute first, but Chen Feng became the first opponent to genuinely excite him. 127

During the Curse Stream assessment, Qin Hai adapted from repeated failures to producing the finest genes in only half a day, rapidly overtaking the other Producers in points. 131

The Qin Family, under pressure from an outside collaborator, secretly used a dangerous method to force Qin Hai's strength higher when Chen Feng threatened his expected victory. The enhancement doubled his spiritual power but destroyed his future potential. 166

Qin Family Control

The Qin Family had implanted something in Qin Hai from birth and ultimately used charm, control reagents, a magnetic-energy array, and his cousin as a substitute consciousness to turn him into a puppet during the competition. His abnormal conduct, black energy, and sudden aggression were consequences of this control. 173 174

Chen Feng's Ice Fox Gene Reagent purified Qin Hai enough for him to break the array's seven-pillar energy cycle. Qin Hai destroyed his substitute, devastated much of the Qin Family estate, and rejected Old Master Qin's demands with the declaration that he would never be a slave. 174

After the competition's final confrontation, Qin Hai and Chen Feng jointly ended the black-energy crisis. Qin Hai publicly explained that the Qin Family had imprisoned his consciousness and replaced it with his cousin's in an attempt to kill Chen Feng. 176 177

Breaking His Limits

With his potential considered exhausted, Qin Hai entered the Ice Sea Snowfield's Forbidden Ground in search of a new path forward. Xiao Yue's Truth-gene painting revealed him on a lightning-struck snowy mountain beside Spirit Sea Wood, prompting Chen Feng to mount a rescue mission. 230 231

On the Snow Mountain, Qin Hai tempered himself with lightning and absorbed the skeletal remains' power. He awakened with a transformed body capable of overpowering Dragon Family combatants through pure physical strength and dissolution, which could break down abilities and energy within opponents' bodies. 243

Although newly strengthened and lacking refined techniques, Qin Hai held off several C-grade-peak Dragon Family fighters for Chen Feng's requested minute, fighting until his body was nearly spent. 244

Land of Inheritance and the Ancient Race

Qin Hai later joined Chen Feng and Kong Bai in exploring the Savage Inheritance Ruins. Despite being physically powerful, he feared becoming a mere burden beside Chen Feng's Luck Aura and Kong Bai's time-travel ability. 393 407

When an Ancient Race expert and a Saint interfered with their Time Travel, Qin Hai used Chen Feng's Energy Armament and his own life force to shatter the Saint's suppression. He remained behind so Chen Feng and Kong Bai could escape, insisting that he would not accept being a supporting character. 417 418

Rather than dying, Qin Hai was taken in as a disciple by the Ancient Race's Saint. A Strange Stone bestowed by the Saint slowed the passage of time affecting him, allowing him to survive through the years that separated him from Chen Feng. 418 442

By the time of their reunion, Qin Hai was the hidden leader of the Mysterious Organization. He killed Lu Hun when Lu Hun attempted to murder Chen Feng and revealed his identity to his old friend. 442

King of the Ancient Race

After Chen Feng's Super X Gene Reagent scheme feminized the Ancient Race, Qin Hai was one of the Super A-grades unaffected by the transformation. The Ancient Race's Empress sought his help, and he was ultimately recognized as their king. 548 549

As king, Qin Hai launched a war against internal rebels to stabilize the Ancient Race and buy time for humanity. He framed the conflict as a war for future peace, despite personally wishing to return to quiet cultivation with his senior brothers. 550

Later Events

Qin Hai repeatedly worked alongside Chen Feng against threats involving Ancient Relics, pink energy, Du Ma, and the Echo Dream Bell. His inherited memories from his master gave him extensive knowledge of ancient races and relics, including the Echo Dream Bell's manipulation of history. 652 691

When the Echo Dream Bell altered Qin Hai's history and caused him to disappear, Chen Feng entered the past and ensured Qin Hai's birth, restoring him to the present timeline. 692 694
