Bai Xiaoran rose to prominence in the Xiao Family, then left Wutan City and became entangled with Xiao Yi Xian and Yun Yun in the Monster Beast Mountain Range. After escaping the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, he hid at the Myriad Medicine Pavilion as Mu She searched for him.

• Bai Xiaoran became a Dou Zhe, mastered several Dou Techniques, and helped the Xiao Family overcome the Jia Lie and Ao Ba Families, reaching Dou Master during their fight over the abducted victims.
• At the Coming-of-Age Ceremony, Bai Xiaoran tested at Nine-star Dou Zhe, while Xiao Yan defeated Xiao Ning and Ya Fei and Xiao Yu both drew close to him.
• Bai Xiaoran declined Yao Chen’s offer to become his disciple, then delayed entering Jia Nan Academy to travel through the Jiamar Empire, receiving a farewell kiss from Ya Fei.
• On the road to Qingshan Town, Bai Xiaoran met Xiao Yi Xian and helped her defend the Myriad Medicine Pavilion from Mu Li and the Wolf Head Mercenary Group.

• Bai Xiaoran met Yun Yun, learned her sword techniques, and rescued her after the Amethyst Winged Lion King sealed her cultivation, and together they obtained the Purple Spirit Crystal and Companion Amethyst Source.
• After Yun Yun left with the Purple Spirit Crystal, Bai Xiaoran killed Mu Li’s men and escaped to the Myriad Medicine Pavilion, where Xiao Yi Xian hid him as Mu She arrived searching for him.

Bai Xiaoran claimed the Green Lotus Core Flame, rescued Qing Lin, and became entangled with Queen Medusa while traveling through the Tagor Desert. In Jiamar Holy City, he reunited with Yun Yun, drew Ya Fei and Nalan Yanran closer, and watched Xiao Yan advance to the Alchemist Convention Finals.

• Bai Xiaoran killed Mu She in a night raid, left Qingshan Town, and began rescuing captives from Snake-People in the Tagor Desert.
• Bai Xiaoran met Queen Medusa while searching for the Green Lotus Core Flame, but Qing Lin awakened her Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils and subdued the Two-Headed Fire Spirit Snake.
• Queen Medusa captured Bai Xiaoran, then kept him at the Snake-people tribe as her personal maid and gave him resources to cultivate.
• Bai Xiaoran swallowed the Green Lotus Core Flame during Queen Medusa’s failed breakthrough, and Yun Yun helped him escape and endure its power.
• Bai Xiaoran rescued Qing Lin from the Mo family, where Lü Man took her to the Heavenly Snake Mansion and Ling Ying secretly helped defeat Mo Cheng.
• Bai Xiaoran traveled to Jiamar Holy City, treated Nalan Jie’s Burning Poison, and revealed to Nalan Jie and Nalan Su that he was a boy.
• Ya Fei brought Bai Xiaoran to Gu He’s gathering, where he reunited with Yun Yun and advanced his cultivation through her Dual Cultivation Dou Technique.
• Bai Xiaoran helped Hai Bodong face Jia Xingtian, then attended the Alchemist Convention with Nalan Yanran as Xiao Yan and the other qualifiers advanced to the Finals.

Bai Xiaoran helped Yun Yun oppose the Soul Hall, then left for Jia Nan Academy and reunited with Xiao Xun'er. After winning the Inner Court trials, he entered the academy and founded Ran Gang.

• Bai Xiaoran helped Xiao Yan win the Alchemist Convention, survived Yan Li’s attack on the Imperial Palace, and obtained the Spirit Fusion Pill for Queen Medusa.
• Bai Xiaoran accompanied Ya Fei to the Misty Cloud Sect, where he cultivated with Yun Yun and witnessed Xiao Yan defeat Nalan Yanran and confront Yun Leng.
• Bai Xiaoran, Yun Yun, and Queen Medusa uncovered Yun Shan’s agreement with the Soul Hall and helped him suppress the Soul Pill before ambushing Protector Lu, who died in an explosion.
• Bai Xiaoran left the Misty Cloud Sect for Jia Nan Academy, defeated Fan Ling in Black Seal City, and reunited with Xiao Xun'er after arriving at the academy.

After Xiao Yi Xian abducted him and the Poison Sect war erupted, he reunited with Queen Medusa and Yun Yun and helped turn the tide against their enemies.

• Bai Xiaoran built Ran Gang, defeated Bai Cheng, and helped Xiao Yan win an alchemy contest against Han Xian.
• Bai Xiaoran rose through the Strong Ranking competition as the Fallen Heart Flame broke free, and he was swallowed by the flame alongside Queen Medusa.
• Bai Xiaoran emerged as a peak Dou Wang after refining the Fallen Heart Flame, reunited with Yun Yun, and killed Han Feng during the attack on the Black Alliance.
• Bai Xiaoran traveled toward the Jia Ma Empire with Yun Yun and Zi Yan, then reached Half-step Dou Emperor and married Yun Yun at the Misty Cloud Sect.
