"Uh... Xiao Yuan!"
Yue Qianchou froze. Looking at the lively little fellow bouncing about before him, he recognized him at once. It was Xiao Yuan of the Li Palace Water Tribe, who had successfully leapt the Dragon Gate in the River Ming. Ever since the little fellow had been taken away by the Heavenly Horse, he had never seen him again. Who would have thought he had made his way into the Dragon Clan—and was doing quite well for himself.
With a beaming smile, he amiably reached out to pat Xiao Yuan's head, but Hong Tailong leaned in from the side, as curious as ever. "Yue Qianchou! What, you had dealings with my Dragon Clan before you met me? Why have I never heard you mention it? When did you beat him up?"
I beat him up? Yue Qianchou's outstretched hand stiffened. His gaze shifted from Xiao Yuan to the pairs of large eyes fixed on him in the air, and his facial muscles twitched. He cursed inwardly without end. What could this little bastard have said instead? Why did he have to say that Yue Qianchou had beaten him? Wasn't that making trouble for him? Damn it! Had the brat found himself a backer and now wanted revenge?
"Heh heh! This little brother has mistaken me for someone else! Aside from Hong Dalong, I don't seem to know any other members of the Dragon Clan." Yue Qianchou denied it outright. The hand that had been meant to stroke Xiao Yuan's head instead pushed away the arms clutching him.
Yet Xiao Yuan only held on tighter, shaking his head repeatedly. "Brother Yue, think carefully! I'm Xiao Yuan from the River Ming in the Underworld! You were the one who helped me successfully leap the Dragon Gate! Have you really forgotten?"
