The group quickly caught up with the main body of civilians.
They traveled south alongside the army. Once they entered the great forest, they would reach northern Exar after crossing its southern region.
The mountains were high and the forests dense here, making it far from an ideal route for a large army. But they had no way to enter Exar through the usual roads now.
Mel had stored all the supplies away in his storage space. Such mountainous, densely forested terrain made it impossible to transport provisions and equipment on a large scale, but if all supplies could be carried in storage space like this, their marching route would no longer be constrained by logistics.
"It seems inventory slots will have a major impact on future warfare." Mel quickly grasped the implications.
It meant he could lead an army across mountains and valleys at any time to strike any city, free from the limits of logistical transport.
