The Divine Realm convened another meeting.
At the last meeting, the gods had failed to reach an agreement, but they had not begun secretly opposing one another.
Eliminating the unstable factor known as Mel Carlo would have been best, yet not every god had chosen to contribute.
Light, Night, Artisan, and Fortuna had chosen to stand by.
Sky, Ocean, Earth, and Wisdom had chosen eradication.
This new round of meetings was prompted by the magic cast on Mel Carlo failing to take effect. They had originally intended to exile Mel Carlo into a fragment of erroneous time, but the spell had been interrupted, sending Mel Carlo to a continent without magic instead.
Now that Mel Carlo had returned, the apostles could no longer pose much of a threat.
The apostles of Ocean and Earth had both chosen to watch from the sidelines. The Sky Apostle had attempted an assassination, but those humans had grown so quickly that even an apostle could no longer easily eliminate them.
"Now is the time to decide what the Divine Realm should do." Wisdom had already done everything she could, but the problem was that they had no way to descend into the mortal world in person.
To open the entrance between the Divine Realm and the human world, at least half of the gods needed to agree.
"We can keep the entrance closed and wait for that human called Mel Carlo to die of old age." The Goddess of Light gave her suggestion.
"Um, is the Goddess of Night still unable to attend the meeting?" the God of Earth and Nature asked timidly.
Although the Goddess of Light and the Goddess of Night were sisters with an exceptionally close relationship, they could not let the Goddess of Light hold the Goddess of Night's voting
