Nagato prepared Amegakure for an invasion while Naruto led his allies into the village and fought their way toward Akatsuki’s core territory. The chapter ended with Naruto effortlessly destroying a combined attack with a single punch, leaving the defenders stunned.
Naruto and his allies confronted Nagato and the Akatsuki Organization’s core members beneath the tower. After Hidan challenged Naruto’s claim that they were surrounded, Naruto revealed that tens of thousands of Shadow Clones had encircled them.
Naruto confronted Nagato and the Akatsuki in Amegakure, revealing that he knew Nagato controlled Deva Path Pain and urging him to surrender. When Hidan attacked, Naruto stood his ground, while Jiraiya and Tsunade were stopped from intervening.
Naruto easily defeated Hidan, Deidara, and Sasori while emerging unharmed from their attacks, then threw Kakuzu to the spectators to fight. Jiraiya, Tsunade, Sasuke, Orochimaru, Kakashi, Black Zetsu, and Kurama joined in attacking Kakuzu.
Naruto defeated Hidan, Deidara, and Sasori with single punches, then confronted Nagato over Akatsuki and their conflicting dreams. Nagato prepared to fight Naruto seriously while Konan stayed behind him to protect him.
Naruto toyed with Nagato’s Six Paths of Pain before defeating Preta Path Pain and Animal Path Pain with single punches. Nagato then unleashed his strongest techniques, filling an area more than ten kilometers wide with a devastating repulsive force.
Naruto defeated Nagato’s strongest attacks and persuaded him to join the Breeding Farm, while Nagato accepted defeat and abandoned his dream. The chapter ended with Naruto’s giant hand sweeping toward Konan as Nagato feared she would be killed.
Naruto spared Konan and persuaded Nagato to surrender, though Nagato still clung to his plan for world peace. Naruto and Nagato went to stop the others from killing Kakuzu, while Konan searched the ruined headquarters and found most of Akatsuki dead.
Naruto brought Nagato back to Konoha after Akatsuki fell, where Black Zetsu revealed that the dream of world peace had been a lie. Nagato settled in to research the Reanimation Jutsu, and Naruto set out for Hidden Sand with Nagato, Sasuke, and Kurama.
Naruto visited Hidden Sand and asked Gaara to help him make friends with its ninja, revealing that he planned to extend his friendship campaign to other villages. Gaara agreed, but after leaving Naruto, Baki stopped him in the Kazekage’s office to raise a concern.
Gaara arranged for Naruto to meet Hidden Sand ninja so Naruto could pursue his dream of becoming friends with everyone in the Ninja World. Naruto began explaining his reasons to the gathered crowd through a story about a lonely orphan.
Naruto made friends with every shinobi in Hidden Sand and prepared to leave for the next village, while Gaara reluctantly bid him farewell. As Naruto’s group departed, Nagato realized Naruto’s friendship campaign might be connected to world peace and asked him directly.
Naruto traveled through several small nations, making friends with their ninja villages while Nagato watched and interpreted his efforts as a path to world peace. After Naruto began treating Nagato’s legs, the group reached Iwagakure, where Ōnoki welcomed them and agreed to Naruto’s request to become friends.
Naruto insisted on becoming friends with Iwagakure through friendly sparring, and Ōnoki reluctantly agreed, hoping to wear him down with successive opponents. After Naruto easily beat Akatsuchi, Kitsuchi, and Kurotsuchi without using Ninjutsu, Ōnoki realized how dangerous it would have been to fight him outright and watched as Fugai urged him to become friends with the Hokage.
Naruto continued his journey to befriend every ninja village, defeating Ōnoki in a spar and making all of Stone Village his friends before traveling to Hidden Cloud. After Killer B performed a rap for him, Naruto told the Raikage that he had come to make friends with everyone in Hidden Cloud.
Naruto returned to Konoha after making friends across the Ninja World and continued training while helping Nagato recover. In Stone Village, Ōnoki and Kurotsuchi interpreted Naruto’s travels as a plan to unify the Ninja World, though they mistook his wish to befriend everyone for a bid for power.
Ōnoki interpreted Naruto’s casual farewell as a threat and persuaded the other Kage to form a Ninja Alliance Nation with Naruto as its ruler. Naruto accepted their proposal, named himself the Shadow Emperor, and left Ōnoki trembling at his explanation of an Emperor.
Four years after founding the Ninja Alliance Nation, Naruto ruled from Kishimoto City while Kurama turned his exploits into wildly exaggerated bestsellers. Black Zetsu returned with a way to reach Kaguya, and Naruto agreed to help free her, but Otsutsuki Toneri confronted them as they arrived on the moon.
Naruto defeated Otsutsuki Toneri and blasted through the moon to break Kaguya Otsutsuki’s seal. Kaguya escaped the moon, but froze Black Zetsu as he rushed to greet her, while Naruto asked her to be friends.
Kaguya Otsutsuki escaped her seal, fought Naruto, and accepted his friendship before settling in Kishimoto City with Black Zetsu. After Sasuke, Nagato, and Kurama successfully tested a revival, Naruto chose to bring back Hashirama Senju, who awoke to Naruto asking to be friends.
Naruto revived Hashirama Senju and proved his strength in a brutal spar before telling him how the ninja world had changed. He then revived Uchiha Madara, defeated him in another spar, and gained Madara’s acknowledgment as the strongest.
Naruto revived his parents and, with their support, formally asked for Hinata’s hand before marrying her in a grand celebration in Kishimoto City. The story ended with Naruto and Hinata together in their bridal chamber.
