Red Fox was dead.
Within the Red Fortress, filled with crimson flames, the subordinate whom Phoenix had once stopped stared at the Life Feather slowly burning to ash. He froze slightly, falling into stunned disbelief.
A spark suddenly drifted down from the void. Blazing flames ignited from below in an instant, and soon, as the passage through the void was set ablaze, Phoenix's cold face emerged from within.
In his arms, Sakura, who had fainted from overwhelming excitement, lay quietly with her eyes shut. Half of Phoenix's face, though restored to normal, still bore the injuries left behind by The Unifier.
"Your Majesty..."
The subordinate dropped to one knee. He did not even dare raise his head to look at Phoenix; he could feel the anger and gloom filling the other man's heart.
"Notify them. Have all the clan members return." Phoenix suppressed his rage and tried to make his tone sound calm and gentle. Though he was a ruler of flame, he was not naturally prone to rage, nor did he like taking his anger out on his own people.
But no matter what, he had to consider what Rimuru had said.
Would they remain in the Extraordinary Space, or leave?
If they remained in the Extraordinary Space, they would have to find another Authority Holder hostile to Rimuru. While helping that person rise to power as much as possible, they would have to suppress Rimuru.
That way, the entire Phoenix Clan would be forced to take sides and become a pawn another Authority Holder could use... The Phoenix Force would be spent in the internal struggles of the Extraordinary Space... but the benefit was that they could have their revenge.
Otherwise, they would leave the Extraordinary Space.
