On the chaotic streets of New York, the man in skintight leather with the perky ass knocked an alien down with a fierce punch, then shook his fist hard. "New York really can't catch a break."
"Quit complaining—" Hawkeye drew his bowstring. After explosions erupted in the sky, he looked toward the distant horizon. "Looks like the battle over there is over."
In everyone's eyes, far off in the distance, completely unlike the dense mechanical army formed by this alien invasion and the azure portal, the other side had originally been filled with blazing clouds and massive black holes flashing in and out, as though the world were ending.
But now, that grand, heart-pounding sensation had faded away, and everything had returned to its usual calm.
"Looks like our mechanical army in the sky isn't withdrawing or rushing over there..." Black Widow Natasha stepped forward. "Seems the winner has basically been decided."
"Whew, thank goodness the righteous side won..." Hearing that, Hawkeye had just breathed a sigh of relief when a figure rushed at him while he was off guard. He hurriedly stepped back, and with a bang, Captain America charged over and smashed the alien to the ground with his shield.
"It's too early to relax. Those guys in the sky might not be on the righteous side."
