"King, our people are hiding in the waters ahead."
Listening to Allen's warning, the Atlantean urged everyone onward.
Namor, however, could not give up so easily. At the very least, he had to recover the memories that belonged to him.
He did not want to live in confusion. Even if the road ahead was fraught with hardship, he would have no regrets.
Less than an hour later, they stopped above a vast expanse of ocean.
Looking out, there was nowhere on the endless sea where anyone could possibly hide.
"Wait here. I'll call them out to welcome us."
With that, the man dove into the sea.
"Princess, I smell a conspiracy."
Allen dipped his head into the water. Not long after, he surfaced and said gravely, "We really fell for it. I couldn't see a thing underwater."
"Don't you know that human eyes are structured differently? We can't see clearly underwater," Diana explained helplessly.
"Of course I know."
Allen said stubbornly, "I was testing you."
At that moment, Allen reached into his pants and pulled a transparent plastic bag out from his backside.
As long as your butt was perky enough, there was nothing you couldn't clamp between it.
"What are you doing?"
Diana watched Allen begin his bizarre maneuver, utterly confused.
"I'm making a simple diving device."
Allen pulled the plastic bag directly over his head, untied his shoelaces, wrapped them around his neck, and yanked both ends hard.
Blegh...
He pulled too hard. The shoelaces dug deeply into his neck, and Allen rolled his eyes, stuck out his tongue, and looked like he was about to suffocate.
"Whew... I almost achieved life's ultimate accomplishment: solo-killing myself."
Allen panted heavily, the plastic bag getting sucked into his mouth and puffing back out with every breath.
