Background

Tongtian is one of the Three Pure Ones and the Saint who leads the Interception Sect. He initially suspects that Li Yuan may be an outsider or an Outer-Realm Heavenly Demon, but concludes that Li Yuan's Pangu Physique rules this out. Tongtian even considers the possibility that Li Yuan is Great God Pangu's reincarnation after witnessing his knowledge and Dao insights. 3 4 10

His confidence in the Interception Sect is shattered when Li Yuan's diary reveals the sect's future destruction: one of the Seven Attendant Immortals defects, three become mounts, and three perish. Tongtian recognizes that the root problem lies in a doctrine of broad admission without sufficient moral instruction or oversight. 10

In response, he orders Zhao Gongming to assert the authority of the Outer Sect's senior disciple brother, punish misconduct, and expel disciples who refuse reform. Tongtian personally reinforces Zhao Gongming's punishment of Long Ear with Immortal Slaughter sword qi, a Contemplation Cliff seal, and Saint-level suppression. 10 11
