Tang San obtained the Sea God Trident but failed to kill Da Ming and Er Ming, while Chu Fan grew powerful enough to defeat the Sea God and drive Tang San toward completing his inheritance. As Chu Fan and Qian Renxue headed for Sea God Island, the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King attacked them.

• Tang San pulled out the Sea God Trident, learned the demands of his eighth trial, and left Sea God Island for the Clear Sky Sect.
• Tang San met his great-grandfather Tang Chen, who entrusted him with authority over the Clear Sky Sect before dying and warning him against Chu Fan.

• Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong defeated Sea Witch and completed their trials as Tang San finished the Sea God inheritance and ascended.
• After returning to the mainland, Chu Fan entered seclusion to create his own divine position while Tang San confronted Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong, killing Tang San before Chu Fan’s Azure Lotus appeared and carried him away.
• Tang San returned to fight Qian Renxue, but Chu Fan intervened and challenged him, revealing his Green Lotus God and Dragon God powers.
