Yu Nanyuan completed his first piece of Two-Word Dou Kai while navigating his relationships with Gu Yue, Na'er, and Wu Siduo. After his team defeated the third years in the academy challenge, Cai Lao selected him and seven others for the Star Luo Continent exchange.

• Yu Nanyuan designed Wu Siduo’s Battle Armor and promised to finish her blueprint, but she kissed him and declared that she would make him like her.
• Yu Nanyuan completed a perfect-quality Two-Word Dou Kai Hand Armor and Forearm Armor, while Na'er revealed her closeness to him and Gu Yue deepened her relationship with him.
• Yuanen Yehui defeated Ye Wu, and Wu Siduo transformed into the Hell White Tiger to defeat Wu Rui in the challenge against the third years.
• Yu Nanyuan revealed his gold-and-silver Two-Word Dou Kai and defeated Li Qiankun with the World Shattering Spear, destroying the Sparring Arena.
• Mo Jue defeated Ye Xinglan, but Gu Yue won her match, giving the first- and second-year teams four victories in five matches.
• Cai Lao selected Yu Nanyuan, Gu Yue, Ye Xinglan, Wu Siduo, Yuanen Yehui, Yue Zhengyu, Xu Lizhi, and Xu Xiaoyan for the Star Luo Continent exchange and promised materials for their One-Word Dou Kai.
• After Ya Li left and the others departed, Yu Nanyuan and Gu Yue remained alone in the Sparring Arena.

Yu Nanyuan led the Shrek delegation toward Star Luo Continent, where his relationships with Gu Yue, Na'er, and his other companions grew more complicated. After defeating a Deep Sea Devil Whale as part of his Martial Soul’s Second Awakening, he recovered aboard ship and reconciled with Gu Yue.

• Yu Nanyuan visited his grandfather in Eastsea City with Na'er, Gu Yue, Xu Xiaoyan, Yuanen Yehui, and Wu Siduo, then shared an intimate evening with Gu Yue before departing for Star Luo Continent.
• Aboard the ship, Yu Nanyuan attended a reception with Gu Yue and Na'er, where Wu Siduo danced with him and Yue Zhengyu fought Fei Yang.
• Cai Lao called for an immediate Exhibition Match, and Yu Nanyuan defeated Luo Qinghan with his Evil Eye Tyrant power.
• Muye took Yu Nanyuan to sea to help him complete his Martial Soul’s Second Awakening, then forced him to confront a Ten Thousand Year Deep Sea Devil Whale.
• Yu Nanyuan killed the whale with Time-Space Judgement, absorbed its soul-ring energy, and swallowed its Whale Rubber before losing consciousness.
• Gu Yue stayed with Yu Nanyuan through the night as he suffered the Whale Rubber’s effects, while Na'er had earlier approached him in his feverish state.
• Yu Nanyuan woke weak and sore, realized his Dual Arm Soul Bone was evolving, and reconciled with Gu Yue in her room.
