Wang Khan woke up a week after being declared brain-dead, causing a huge stir throughout Osborn Private Hospital. Even Norman Osborn, chairman of Osborn Industries, personally came to visit him and brought many gifts.

Looking at the check in his hand and his own savings, Wang Khan did the math. If he spent carefully, he should be able to live without worrying about food or clothing for the rest of his life. All he needed to do was hide out in the countryside. Whatever happened, the Avengers could handle it, and he should be able to live out his life safely, but...
