Ogryns are a subspecies of humanity that live on high-gravity worlds.

They are hulking, brutish giants, standing over three meters tall.

Their physiques are incredibly robust, capable of withstanding firepower that could wipe out a small squad.

"If you don't want to be turned into mincemeat, don't go picking a fight with an Ogryn."

This is a warning specifically noted in the handbook issued by the Imperial Munitorum to every Astra Militarum soldier.

When blessed by Chaos, their combat prowess increases exponentially, rivaling that of a humanoid Titan.

"Die, heretics! In the Emperor's name, I grant you oblivion!"

Little Fatty squeezed the trigger of the Multi-laser Heavy Bolter, firing wildly at the onrushing enemies.

The dense laser beams poured out like a torrential storm.

The Mutants were mowed down in swathes like ears of wheat.

In just a few breaths, they were reduced to piles of charred, foul-smelling corpses.

Only the two Chaos Ogryns remained unaffected.

They wore heavy armor and wielded Power Mauls and Greatshields.

When they charged, they rumbled like a tank in motion.

Lasers and bullets bounced off them like tickles.

The Chaos Ogryns trampled over the broken, charred limbs of the Mutants, charging relentlessly.

Using brute force, they sent Little Fatty and his Multi-laser Heavy Bolter flying.

Bang!

Little Fatty slammed hard into the wall.

The pain radiating from every part of his body contorted his features.

Before he could recover, a whistling sound filled the air.

Looking up, he saw a Chaos Ogryn wielding a Power Maul, bringing it down on his head.

Then, darkness.

"That's a terrible way to die!"

"Damn, he's turned into paste!"

"Are these Chaos Ogryns really that terrifying?"

"Aren't Ogryns supposed to be brainless? These two seem pretty smart to me; they knew to take out our heavy firepower first."

The players looked at the Chaos Ogryns with a mixture of shock and fear.

With a single charge, these two behemoths had sent their heavy firepower flying.

And smashed Little Fatty into a bloody pulp with one swing of its Power Maul.

"The Emperor protects you. Do not fear. Continue firing."

Qin Yun was also startled by the terrifying strength of the Chaos Ogryns.

He quickly cast the skills "Prayer" and "Zeal," buffing the players.

Giving them the courage to continue fighting the Chaos Ogryns.

"Evil spirits, begone! Evil spirits, begone!"

While firing, Qin Yun activated the skill "Emperor's Light."

Dispelling the Warp blessings on the Chaos Ogryns, suppressing their power.

Even so, the players were no match for the Chaos Ogryns.

When a Chaos Ogryn charged, it was like a tank, bulldozing everything in its path without regard.

If a player wasn't careful and failed to dodge in time, they'd be sent flying.

At best, they'd break a few ribs; at worst, they'd suffer broken bones and lose all ability to move.

The Mutants were also a nuisance.

As soon as they saw a player incapacitated, they swarmed in, eager to tear them apart.

Before long, the players were dying, wounded, and suffering heavy casualties.

"My leg! My leg is broken!" Arm-Wrestling Fiend screamed as he crawled on the ground.

When the Chaos Ogryn charged, he couldn't dodge in time, fell to the ground, and had his leg crushed.

Arm-Wrestling Fiend wanted to crawl to safety, but the Mutants kept rushing towards him.

With no escape, he could only lean against the wall, firing his lasgun at the Mutants.

After shooting down several, he was overwhelmed by the onrushing horde.

On the verge of death, he reached for the Frag Grenade hanging from his waist.

"For the Emperor!!"

Boom!

The Frag Grenade detonated.

Over a dozen Mutants were instantly blown away, their shattered flesh and blood scattering across the ground.

"Damn it, Machine Spirit, hurry up and recharge!"

Scalp swept his gun at the surging Mutants, occasionally glancing down at the Plasma Gun's charging muzzle, his face filled with anxiety.

With a satisfying click, the Plasma Gun's barrel emitted a rich blue light, indicating that the plasma charge was complete.

"Finally!"

Scalp's face lit up. He stopped firing and raised the Plasma Gun, aiming the muzzle at one of the Chaos Ogryns, ready to let it taste the power of plasma.

However, the next second, another Chaos Ogryn charged at him.

Its massive, tank-like body slammed into him, sending him flying into the wall.

The fully charged Plasma Gun was also thrown away, landing in the distance.

"Shit!"

Scalp cursed inwardly.

Just as he was about to crawl over and pick up the Plasma Gun, he heard a whistling sound.

Turning his head, he saw a thick, large, and black Power Maul falling towards his head.

"I'm done for."

Scalp's eyes widened, the last thought flashing through his mind.

A sound like a watermelon exploding rang out.

Then, everything went black.

Qian Donglai killed a Mutant with his Entrenching Tool, then slid forward, picked up the Plasma Gun, and pulled the trigger on a Chaos Ogryn.

A huge ball of blue arcing energy shot out of the muzzle, streaking through the air and hitting the targeted Chaos Ogryn.

The upper half of its body instantly vaporized, leaving only its thick legs standing in place, emitting a scorched, hot stench.

The breech's protective plate popped up, and sizzling heat vented outwards.

"Looks like it's still not loyal enough."

Looking at the overheating Plasma Gun, Qian Donglai threw it aside and swung his Entrenching Tool, knocking down an oncoming Mutant.

"Someone help me!" Warmaster shouted in terror.

He was surrounded by a group of Mutants.

Too close to fire, he could only use the butt of his gun to smash the Mutants.

But there were too many enemies. For every one he knocked down, two more took its place.

Before long, he was overwhelmed by the sheer number of Mutants.

He was about to be torn apart.

Ten-Timer activated "Warp Siphon" to devour energy, then converted it into a shockwave, blasting away the Mutants around Warmaster.

But the next second, Ten-Timer was ambushed by a Mutant behind him.

Sharp claws pierced through his chest, killing him instantly.

"Damn it! I'm going to fight you bastards to the death!"

Ten-Timer's tragic death made Warmaster's eyes turn red.

The hyper-realistic game environment had already stretched his nerves taut.

Now, witnessing a comrade die to save him.

He had forgotten that he was a player, and just kept pulling the trigger, shooting the Mutants.

Qian Donglai was shooting the last remaining Chaos Ogryn while swinging his Entrenching Tool to smash the Mutants that were surrounding him.

He was too preoccupied to help the other players.

"Screw it, you only live once! Let's risk it all! Who's afraid of who?"

Old Bird had somehow strapped a ring of Melta Bombs around his body and held a detonator in his hand.

He pressed the detonator and charged towards the Chaos Ogryn.

"For the Emperor."

Boom! Boom!

Muffled explosions echoed.

The terrifying shockwave sent nearby Mutants and players flying.

The crazed Warmaster slammed into a wall, the pain making him grimace and sobering him up considerably.

Qin Yun flattened himself, avoiding the blast wave.

Thanks to Old Bird's suicide attack, the Chaos Ogryns were blown to pieces.

Without the Chaos Ogryns, the remaining Mutants were easier to deal with.

Qin Yun led the remaining players, eliminating them one by one.

After blocking the other doors to the tactical projection hall and confirming that no more Mutants could enter, Qin Yun allowed the players to rest.

The battle had been too brutal.

Originally fifteen players, now only five remained.

And all of them were wounded.

"You've done very well. Rest for a while. Injured players can use medkits to heal."

After saying this to them, Qin Yun went to activate the tactical projection hall's control console.

Accompanied by mechanical whirring and flickering lights, the projection device activated.

The dancing light outlined the overall structure of the Imperial Glory, and their current location.

Back in the real world, in a villa district somewhere.

Qian Donglai gasped for breath, suddenly sitting up in bed.

His vision was completely black.

A line of golden text floated in the darkness.

[5 hours remain until you can log in to the game. Please wait patiently.] [Insufficient Faith Points. Unable to accelerate resurrection progress.]

Qian Donglai reached out and removed his helmet, soft light flooding his vision.

"This game is way too damn realistic!!"

He went to the refrigerator, poured a glass of milk, and calmed his excited mood.

Qian Donglai walked to his study, sat down at his computer, and noticed the Warhammer Toilers Group icon flashing incessantly.

The group messages were increasing rapidly, soon reaching 99+.
