Li Wei's spirits lifted at once as he quickly looked over.
At the doorway, a young beauty with flowing red hair, sturdy thighs, and ample curves—perfectly matching his tastes—was laughing and chatting with the customers.
Oh, and she was wearing flesh-colored stockings, which gave Li Wei an immediate urge to tear them off, only speeding up his pulse.
He wasn't unfamiliar with that face either. Firecracker had appeared as a supporting character in the TV series, boasting a pile of titles like filmmaker, writer, political activist, and critic.
Later on, she'd even briefly hosted for the Vought National Television Network. Though her stint was short, it proved her intellect and knowledge far surpassed the average supe, even putting her in contention to replace Starlight as a new member of The Seven.
But for now, she didn't even qualify as a third-tier supe. She had only a few hundred followers on YouTube—pitifully few—and ranked among the lowest of the low.
And Li Wei knew full well that most of those followers had nothing to do with her titles; they were just there for her tits and thighs.
So when she finally managed to land a movie, she had to go out herself, promoting it at every bar. It was downright pathetic.
As for her powers—well, her codename was Firecracker. What did you think?
Still, her hand-to-hand combat could go toe-to-toe with the Mute Wolf Girl, Kimiko, for a short while, which wasn't bad. At least her defense was decent. Ordinary weaklings would get gutted by Kimiko in a single exchange.
But compared to a frontline supe like Starlight, there was still a considerable gap. Caught off guard, Starlight had pinned her down and beaten her bloody in one go.
Also, she seemed to have a thing for younger guys.
And everyone knew white people matured early—fifteen often looked twenty-five—while Chinese faces stayed youthful. At eighteen, Li Wei could easily pass for fifteen!
Thinking it over, Li Wei casually pulled an unused Zorro Mask from his pocket, grabbed two glasses of wine, and walked over.
If possible, he'd rather not reveal his real identity, to avoid any further entanglement. A fling was fine, but he wouldn't give up the whole forest for one tree.
Of course, given how open-minded most white people were in this world, they probably wouldn't care either way.
"Hey, beautiful, interested in a drink?"
As he spoke, Li Wei subconsciously sniffed, and his expression turned a little strange.
Firecracker hadn't been with any man in at least a week, meeting the rule he'd privately set.
But she was a lesbian!
He didn't really mind that, though. If her girlfriend also met his standards, he'd take them both on without hesitation.
Firecracker initially wanted to refuse, but when she caught sight of Li Wei, she froze for a moment, then couldn't help licking her lips.
She hadn't expected that a spur-of-the-moment trip to promote her upcoming movie would land her the cutest little guy that fit her taste perfectly!
Even with only the lower half of his face visible, she was absolutely sure—this was her favorite dish!
So she took the offered wine without hesitation, deliberately letting a bit of alcohol trickle from the corner of her mouth down to her chest's high peaks.
Then she licked her lips and smiled seductively. "Little boy, are you even legal, trying to pick up girls like this?"
Li Wei immediately thrust his hips forward. "Want to check for yourself?"
The surrounding drinkers let out a chorus of "Oohs," egging them on.
Firecracker chuckled again, set down her glass, and didn't say more to Li Wei. Instead, she turned to the crowd.
"Sorry, I've got a mission later. That's all for today. Have fun, everyone, and don't forget to check out my new movie!"
The drinkers were a bit disappointed not to see the best part, but they still played along politely.
Superheroes bore the duty of guarding America; sparing a few words with them was already a big deal, even if Firecracker was just a third-tier supe.
Then, without even glancing at Li Wei, she turned and pushed through the door, as if it had all been just a joke.
Just then, Blue Hawk popped out from somewhere, winking at Li Wei. "Buddy, what are you waiting for?"
He didn't know Firecracker—probably some fringe character—but his eyes weren't blind. Her figure and face were undeniably good.
Li Wei understood that too. Sometimes, leaving and ignoring didn't really mean rejection.
Even as a third-tier supe, Firecracker couldn't act carelessly in front of ordinary people. If someone uploaded a video online, her already meager commercial value would take a serious hit.
Vought International might not care—they barely made money off her anyway—but she herself definitely would.
Li Wei smiled, tossed down his glass, and hurried after her, not forgetting to remind Blue Hawk, "Cover my tab for now. I owe you two rounds!"
Blue Hawk waved a hand without a word. As long as Angel could lose his virginity, what were one or two drinks between friends? No need to be so petty.
Just as he turned a street corner, Li Wei hesitated, unsure which way to go.
Then an arm reached out from the shadows and pulled him inside.
Li Wei immediately put on a startled expression, like any ordinary person would, drawing a string of giggles.
"Don't be scared, handsome. It's me, Firecracker!"
With that, her kisses rained down on his face like raindrops, clearly desperate for him.
Li Wei knew, of course. In fact, from dozens of meters away, he'd already heard her slightly quickened breathing and racing heart. He was faking it all.
But on the surface, he looked shaken, letting out a long sigh.
"Geez, you scared me."
"Heh, my bad. You know, we have to watch our public image."
Giggling, Firecracker pressed Li Wei into a faceful of her chest, as if comforting his wounded heart.
Li Wei didn't hold back, his hands roaming freely over her body.
And surprisingly—whether it was because Firecracker had undergone hair removal surgery or her superpower granted her some extra benefits—her skin was unexpectedly smooth, completely lacking the rough texture typical of ordinary white people, feeling as sleek as silk.
Firecracker soon wanted to take off Li Wei's Zorro Mask; it was pressing uncomfortably against her, and she also wanted to see how handsome this tempting young man would look with the upper half of his face revealed.
Li Wei quickly grabbed her hand. "Wait, don't you think keeping this mystery is more fun?"
Firecracker chuckled and didn't insist, instead saying, "Then I'll have to collect some interest."
Just moments ago, she had been polite to Li Wei in the tavern, but now she muttered under her breath, one hand already reaching for him without hesitation, soon letting out a gasp of surprise.
"Wow, little guy, you weren't lying!"
"And you still call me little guy? Call me Daddy!"
"What? Didn't expect you to be into that kind of thing. Well, it depends on how you perform later~"
Feigning a startled cry, Firecracker finally let Li Wei go free.
Then, taking his hand, she led him straight toward the west.
"Lucky for you, I just picked up a new endorsement today and bought a camper van. You get the treat tonight!"
Li Wei was ready. Without a doubt, he was about to go all out.
