The Pirates of the Caribbean universe was not complicated at all. Even the gods, sea monsters, and the like here were hardly worth Noah giving a second thought.
Perhaps the only things Noah found interesting were the beautiful scenery, the deep sea, and that intriguing curse. Taking a vacation in this universe seemed like a pretty good choice—as long as you did not get seasick.
The plot of Pirates of the Caribbean was actually very simple. The protagonist, Jack Sparrow, had been betrayed and lost his beloved Black Pearl. Now, all he wanted was to reclaim his precious ship.
Barbossa, who currently possessed the Black Pearl, and his crew had been cursed. The way to lift it was to return all the treasure they had previously found and spent, and now only the last gold coin remained outside.

Norrington, who had just been promoted to commodore, acted as a proper supporting character by causing trouble for the two male leads. Then the two protagonists solved those troubles and defeated Barbossa.
Jack Sparrow reclaimed his beloved ship, while the young blacksmith rescued the Elizabeth he loved. A happy ending for everyone.
