Noah's idea of borrowing probably wasn't as simple as merely taking something. For wizards, the way they borrowed things would probably make it "impossible to refuse," wouldn't it?

Hermione roughly understood what Noah meant, but aside from rolling her eyes at him, she showed no other reaction.

She knew Noah too well. He might use certain methods, but he would never harm ordinary people. He would even find a way to compensate those whose things he had "borrowed."

There was no need to change into anything special—as wizards, they had spatial equipment carrying spare items. After casually finding two suitable wizard robes and carefully tidying themselves up, the two of them called for a carriage and headed together to the governor's residence.

The guards at the governor's residence clearly knew about them already. They received Noah and Hermione very politely and led them to a reception room specially meant for receiving guests.

Governor Swan was slightly disappointed. He had originally wanted to judge the two of them by their family name, but this young man clearly had no intention of revealing it.
