Background / History

As Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One protects Earth from extradimensional threats and those who exploit humanity. During a demonic incident, she deliberately withheld intervention in order to target the entities spreading their faith in the human world; afterward, she intended to erase Angela’s memory of the pain inflicted on her. 67

She first noticed Noah Finneal while remotely observing his battle against demons. Though wary of his prohibited Dark Magic, she recognized his abundant magic power, speed, precision, and decisive conduct. Concluding that he could become an exceptional mage, she considered inviting him to Kamar-Taj. 67

Noah later became her disciple, receiving her notes and Kamar-Taj’s body-and-magic refinement methods. She permitted him to postpone moving to Kamar-Taj because of his Hogwarts commitments, confirmed the usefulness of the Room of Requirement for magical growth, and offered him protection against Voldemort. 74 75

The Ancient One gradually reformed Kamar-Taj’s educational model. She began holding lectures on magic, higher dimensions, parallel spaces, and a mage’s responsibility, then became the first Headmaster of Kamar-Taj University of Magic. 193 215
