A strange sea fish with bulging eyes that took up a third of its head spat out a string of bubbles in the deep sea.
It soon seemed to sense something and darted deeper toward the seabed.
A figure streaked through the water. The dimness seemed to have no effect on him whatsoever. He moved so swiftly that every fish was left far behind, descending an unknown distance in the space of a breath.
After just an incense stick's worth of time, the figure had reached the deep-sea region. There was no longer the slightest glimmer of light in the surrounding water; everything was pitch-black.
