"Brother Wolf, why let that kid go? He looked young. Even if he had a few tricks, with all of us here, we could definitely take him down."
Several hunters from the Black Valley Gathering Place threaded through the Rotting Forest, one of them asking in confusion.
"Yeah, boss. That kid might have plenty of materials on him."
Walking ahead, Wild Wolf stopped at his companions' questions. He turned to glance in Lin Sheng's direction, his expression turning stern.
"What do you know? In this business, aside from strength, the most important thing is brains. That kid might look young, but anyone who dares come this far alone definitely has a few tricks up his sleeve."
At this point, the sternness abruptly vanished from his face, replaced by a cold sneer.
"But the more capable he is, the fatter a sheep he must be. The only valuable, high-yield area nearby is the Green Ghost Forest. That kid is almost certainly heading there, and he didn't even bring a specialized protective mask. He must be some talented disciple with a decent background in Greenwood City."
"People like that are arrogant to the bone. I've already left a mark on him. Once he enters the Green Ghost Forest, we'll follow behind and see what he's up to. We might uncover some secret, and then we'll all strike it rich. Even if we don't, it doesn't matter. Once we've sounded him out, we'll make our move and finish him off."
"Whatever his background, if he dies in the Green Ghost Forest, nobody will know we were the ones who did it."
Understanding dawned on the others' faces at Wild Wolf's words, and they nodded repeatedly.
"You're the man, Brother Wolf. In that case, let's follow him now."
"No rush. We'll wait a while.
