Sea City.
It was utterly different from Greenwood City.
Built beside the sea, this mighty city had walls cast from deep-sea black iron that towered a thousand feet high. Countless waterproofing runes were inscribed across them, making the walls look from afar like a black dragon lying dormant along the coastline.
Fighters were everywhere within the city. By comparison, ordinary people without any cultivation were rather rare.
The air carried the salty, damp sea breeze and faint fluctuations of energy. Pedestrians filled the streets, from fishermen carrying specially made nets to elite Fighters in close-fitting martial attire, their auras concentrated and refined. Flying craft could even be seen gliding overhead, lending the city a distinctive atmosphere where prosperity and wildness intertwined.
Two figures traveled west along the coastline. After roughly half an hour,
they reached a secluded bay. Steep cliffs flanked it, thick mangroves growing across their faces and screening the bay from outside eyes.
Of the two, a stooped old man approached an inconspicuous reef rock and rapidly formed seals with both hands. A faint energy fluctuation spread from the rock, which slowly shifted aside to reveal a hidden door only wide enough for one person.
"This is the Oath of Embers' coastal outpost in Sea City. It's extremely well concealed. Unless you know its exact location, it's very difficult to find."
As the hidden door appeared, He Ping spoke quietly and entered first.
Beside him was Lin Sheng, who had traveled all the way from Greenwood City.
Ten days had passed since he killed Marshall and the others.
After leaving Greenwood City, Lin Sheng had followed the marks He Ping left behind, heading straight for Sea City.
He had apparently heard of this enormous coastal city long ago, but he truly had not expected the Oath of Embers
