Beyond the blue energy cordon, Chris and Situ Ming had already gathered the Fighting Association's elite and were waiting. The Bureau of Affairs' teams stood in formation on either side, while the Guard Army's energy weapons were primed to fire. Every gaze fixed on the slowly opening hatch.
As agreed beforehand, Cole made no attempt to stop them. He only knew that Chris wanted to search for an "Extradimensional Creature hiding aboard the Falling Star." He had never imagined who their target might be, and merely had the Crimson Lightning Company's security personnel maintain order and escort Anna down first.
But he, too, kept speculating about the true identity of this supposed Extradimensional Creature.
Soon, the hatch opened fully. Feya led Anna out at a brisk pace, with Lin Sheng following behind them. The red halo around him had long since faded, and his expression was so calm that he seemed oblivious to the drawn swords and taut bowstrings around him.
