Lin Sheng and his companions followed the crowd off the train and out of the station.
An ink-black hovercar engraved with the Fighting Association's emblem was already waiting before them. Its driver, a middle-aged steward, immediately bowed when he saw Lin Sheng and the others.
"Your subordinate, Zhou Chuan, awaits Your Excellency Lin Sheng and Secretary Mary at the branch president's command."
Lin Sheng nodded slightly, and the group boarded the hovercar. It rose smoothly into the air, weaving between buildings and floating islands. As the scenery streamed past, the vastness and prosperity of this immense city became ever more apparent.
"Sun Radiance City consists of three sections: the outer city, the inner city, and the floating district," the middle-aged steward volunteered. "The council and the major powers are mostly concentrated in the floating district, but most people still live in the inner city. It covers an enormous area. Our Fighting Association also has a branch in its eastern district, where the surroundings are quiet and ideal for cultivation. As President Xia's personal disciple, Your Excellency Lin Sheng has been provided with a private cultivation courtyard, complete with a dedicated training room and energy-gathering arrays. Everything meets the association's highest standards."
Lin Sheng nodded.
"Thank you for the trouble."
"You're too kind, Your Excellency Lin Sheng. We're only doing our duty," Zhou Chuan replied respectfully.
Lin Sheng said no more, turning his gaze toward the buildings below to examine Sun Radiance City's layout.
The outer city spread across the ground like an enormous foundation. Farther inward, a ring of walls towered into the clouds, their surfaces covered in offensive and defensive Array Runes. Those marked the inner city's boundary.
