The seven-colored vortex breathed streams of light, its spatial pull gentle and restrained, nowhere near as vicious or violent as its outward appearance suggested.
The instant Lin Sheng leaped in, light and shadow shifted around him, and the scene before his eyes changed completely.
There were none of the illusory barriers he had expected, nor any hidden death traps.
Before him lay a vast expanse of ancient land, with broken mountains and remnants of waterways stretching into the distance. Timeworn walls and ruins littered the ground, and thin cosmic energy drifted through the air.
Everything around him was quiet and still, without the slightest fluctuation of energy.
"So this is the Hidden Site? It seems very different from the outside world," Lin Sheng murmured as he surveyed his surroundings. Little Black's voice also sounded in his consciousness.

Lin Sheng nodded slightly, understanding dawning on him.
Just then, Bai Ji landed behind him. He looked around, a flicker of delight appearing in his eyes, before silently lowering his gaze.
The members of the Alchemist Alliance and the Wild Horse Tribe stood ahead, their expressions calm. Clearly, they were quite familiar with this Hidden Site.
"The outer and middle regions have already been explored repeatedly. The superficial illusion arrays and traps have long since been removed.
