The densely packed black tumors trembled slightly. Countless tiny stone tendrils extended from them, reaching silently toward the two men's backs.
They moved extremely fast, without the slightest sound or aura. This cavern, saturated with the aura of mutation rules, provided their natural camouflage.
Perfectly concealed within the Limestone Cavern's dense aura of corruption, they might escape the notice of even cultivators renowned for their perception.
The densely packed tendrils nearly filled most of the cavern passage, closing in like an ocean until they were only a few yards behind Lin Sheng and Andy.
"Behind you!"
Little Black swept his long tail from his perch on Lin Sheng's shoulder and immediately called out a warning.
Before he could finish, however, a mass of black flame had already surged up and swept backward.
Lin Sheng never even turned his head.

The dark firelight swept across the stone walls behind them. Countless black coral tumors and grotesque tendrils burned to ash before their eyes, while dense black corruption mist steamed away.
