A resounding dragon roar tore through the lush forest. The sound waves rolled like thunder, making the treetops rustle and even causing the ground itself to tremble.

An immense draconic pressure spread outward, filling the surrounding air with a chilling sense of menace.

Immediately afterward, a chaotic chorus of squeaks came from the woods. A group of thousand-year Dark Night Fire Monkeys fled wildly through the canopy, their scarlet eyes filled with fear—they had clearly been frightened out of their wits by the sudden dragon roar.

"At last, they're gone."

Tang Wulin stood among the trees, a relieved smile curling her lips. Unlike the other Spirit Masters who began slaughtering the moment they entered the Myriad Beast Platform, she had maintained a policy of avoiding battle from the very beginning.

Even when Soul Beasts attacked her on their own initiative, she merely used her abilities to drive them away and had never dealt them a fatal blow. This almost instinctive compassion came from an indescribable sense of closeness, as though these Soul Beasts shared some hidden connection with her.

"Is it because of the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline within me?"
