The Dream Master was the former head of the Oak Family and was now the leader of all the Family clans.
With this token, Chen Luo could move through Penacony completely unhindered... though even without it, the same would have been true.
"That does sound nice. Then the first thing I need help with is handing Dr. Chadwick's memetic bubble to Siegmund so he can take it away," Chen Luo said.
"Does this count as one of the prices for trading the Godhood Quota?" the Dream Master asked.
If they wanted to become equal allies, then they had to be equal in certain respects, such as the price they paid or the power they possessed. That was the foundation of cooperation.
Unfortunately, the Family and Chen Luo had never been equals.
Because aside from the Dream Master, Chen Luo had other potential partners in Penacony.
But aside from Chen Luo, the Dream Master had no one else he could cooperate with.
At the very least, the promise Chen Luo had painted was grand enough, and its chances of success were indeed far from small.
So, beyond the risks it would have to bear, the Family also needed to pay a sufficient "price" to buy that Godhood Quota.
The Dream Master was not surprised by this at all.
Because even without cooperation, the value of that Godhood Quota was immeasurable.
