Background / History

Sparkle came to Chen Luo’s bar while struggling against the control of the mask on her head. Chen Luo exploited her compromised state to establish a role-swap contract and replace the controlling mask with a Joy Mask; Sparkle subsequently became unusually obedient and addressed him as her “little brother.” 2272

Chen Luo later grew an Omni-Grass: Joy Special Edition on Sparkle’s head with the Shen Nong Ruler. The grass heightened her intelligence and intuition specifically when pursuing amusement, matching her desire to create larger and more entertaining schemes. Afterward, Chen Luo temporarily dissolved their contract and erased her memories of the ruler and grass, prompting Sparkle to challenge him to a contest of joy. 2274 2275

Seeking an advantage over Chen Luo, Sparkle acquired an apparent wish-granting Magic Lamp and began using wishes for elaborate impersonation plans. She attempted to replicate Raiden Mei and Elysia, but Chen Luo repeatedly identified flaws in her performances. Sparkle studies the habits of Chen Luo’s acquaintances before impersonating them, changes allies when it benefits her position, and keeps escape routes ready.
