Mephisto stared at the divine sparks in his hands, stepped back slightly, and bowed deeply to Isaac.
At this sight, Mephisto understood that he would never be able to repay the Divine Lord's kindness!
Having settled everything he would leave behind, Isaac waited quietly with Meixiukante in the underground laboratory for the Boundless Tower to close. A few days later, he suddenly felt a faint repelling force.
He knew it was time to leave.
The repelling force was still relatively weak. If he wanted, he could force himself to stay another few days, but he had already finished everything he needed to do. There was no reason to linger. He beckoned to Meixiukante, and she transformed into a silver ring that slipped onto his index finger.
Then rainbow light enveloped Isaac, turning him into a streak of radiance that shot toward the sky.
"Divine Lord..." Standing atop the temple, Mephisto watched Isaac's rainbow streak gradually disappear. Hearing the sighs around him, as though an immense burden had been lifted, he let out a somewhat forlorn sigh. Perhaps the Divine Lord was right to leave. They did not deserve his protection...
