Isaac slowly nodded as he looked down at the canyon below, where the world's laws lay shattered and the thick aura of the Abyss permeated the air.
No wonder the Great Wizards had decided to strike at the Abyss. They had clearly achieved impressive results in recent years. Although the world's laws in the region below remained broken, the abyssal rift had already healed.
It had not been sealed or blockaded. It had healed completely!
This meant the Abyss would no longer hold the initiative in its invasions. The roles of attacker and defender had been reversed!
Repairing the world's laws, however, was indeed rather difficult.
Not that it could not be done.
Once, in pursuit of a great creation earned through the merit of Heaven Repair, quite a few wizards had destroyed things first and repaired them afterward. They had done it themselves, hired others, made tacit agreements, and employed all manner of other methods.
From that time onward, the wizards had accumulated a wealth of methods for repairing the world's laws.
Unfortunately, the experiments had ultimately failed. Despite the enormous expense, they had not earned even a great deed, whether they repaired laws they had broken themselves or those destroyed by others—
The same was true now. It was not that the wizards lacked the ability to repair the collapse of the world's laws caused by a large abyssal rift. It simply was not worth the cost.
The same actually applied to Isaac. Repairing the world's laws was merely one element of his experiment, something he would accomplish along the way. His main objective was still the Divine Arsenal experiment.
