A Little Too Much?

When he came to his senses, Shien found himself standing on the ground.

"Is this Another World?"

Opening his eyes and taking in the scene before him, Shien looked utterly bewildered.

He was standing in a lush green forest.

Trees surrounded him on all sides.

Gentle sunlight filtered down from above.

Unfamiliar plants grew everywhere.

There were no sounds of birds, beasts, or insects, yet the air felt terrifyingly heavy, as though it were telling Shien, this outsider, that he was unwelcome here.

"Did I end up somewhere seriously dangerous?"

That was Shien's first impression of this world.

To be honest, Shien was still thoroughly confused.

He remembered everything that had happened to him, but he had suddenly arrived in Another World and been dropped into a completely unfamiliar place. Aside from basic common sense, he knew nothing, and he did not have the slightest understanding of this world. It would have been impossible not to feel confused.

However, Shien possessed one strength that ordinary people could never match.

No matter how unreasonable the situation was, he could quickly accept it as something beyond his control.

That was also why, even after learning what had happened to him, Shien had been able to accept the truth so readily, agree to the Goddess's request, and come to Another World.

"I wonder whether I was always like this in my previous life, or if dying once caused some kind of mental transformation."

Shien muttered that as though mocking himself.

Just then, Shien felt a weight appear in his hand, prompting him to lower his gaze and look at it.

The moment he did, Shien froze.

At some point, a sword had appeared in his hand.

It was a brilliant sword that shone with equally brilliant light.

It was a two-handed greatsword. Its hilt was gold, with a golden gemstone embedded in the pommel, while its blade was dazzling white, flowing with streams of light that made it look extraordinarily splendid.

Even Shien could not help feeling awestruck as he looked at the sword.

Yet amid that amazement, Shien sensed something strange from it.

It felt as though he could become one with the sword in his hand, as though the two of them blended together so completely that there was no distinction between them.

That sensation even gave Shien the uncanny feeling that he was looking at himself.

What stunned Shien even more was that, as he stared at the sword, a message appeared in his mind.

Holy Sword

· Exclusive: Shien.

· Level +100.

· All skill levels +10.

· Damage Weakening: 99% against all damage types.

· Immunity to all negative statuses.

· Sharpness at the highest level.

· Durability at the highest limit.

· Deals tremendous damage to targets of an evil nature.

· Purifies and dispels powers of an evil nature.

· Restricted to its user. Cannot be discarded, transferred, destroyed, modified, or interfered with.

"Are you kidding me?"

Shien was dumbfounded.

His instincts told him that this sword was incredible.

According to the Goddess, he seemed to be a Hero, and it was only natural for a Hero to possess their own Holy Sword. Even so, weren't these effects a little too much?

Shien did not know what level of performance or power this sword possessed in this world, but just looking at that long list of effects, he could confidently tell anyone that this was something that should never exist.

More specifically, if a weapon like this appeared in a game, it would probably destroy the game's balance in an instant and make every player curse the developers to hell and back.

And that was not even the end of it.

Besides the Holy Sword before him, more information appeared in Shien's mind.

The information was divided into two sections—level and skills.

The game-like interface made Shien raise an eyebrow.

Then Shien discovered that he could freely inspect both sections with a thought.

So, he checked his level first.

It appeared to display Shien's current level—"Lv. 1."

Yeah, it was very straightforward. Shien now clearly understood that he was a bona fide rookie.

Next, Shien checked his skills.

This section seemed to display the skills Shien currently possessed, along with something called Skill Points.

His Skill Points were displayed as "100," though Shien had no idea whether that was a lot or a little.

Then there were the skills Shien currently possessed.

At present, Shien had only two skills.

Heaven's Grace

· Unique Skill.

· Upon leveling up, all ability types increase to their maximum values.

· Upon leveling up, the amount of Skill Points gained reaches its maximum value.

· The requirements for acquiring all skills are reduced to the minimum.

· The requirements for leveling up all skills are reduced to the minimum.

· Permanently active. Cannot be removed by any means.

Supreme God's Blessing

· Special Skill.

· Gain the world's protection.

· God Race only. All conditions can be fulfilled.

· God Race only. All interference can be avoided.

· God Race only. All duties can take effect.

· God Race only. All effects can be bestowed.

Shien fell silent.

As before, these two skills felt incredibly overpowered.

Naturally, Shien, who did not yet know the slightest thing about this world, had no way of knowing exactly how overpowered they were.

But again, just looking at that long list of effects, this was really a little too much.

Could it be...?

"Is that Goddess planning to make me defeat the Demon Lord while I'm still level one?"

Shien seriously suspected that was the case.

After some rather troubled contemplation, Shien decided not to think too much about it for now.

"I'll take things one step at a time."

After all, even if he wanted to defeat the Demon Lord, he would have to find the Demon Lord first, right?

Besides, Shien did not think he could really defeat the Demon Lord just like that.

For one thing, Shien did not even know how to fight yet. Even with a legendary Holy Sword in his hand, he would probably only be able to swing it around wildly.

Defeat the Demon Lord?

Shien could not imagine that scene at all.

Rather, the only thing he could imagine was himself trembling before the Demon Lord.

"Instead of thinking about something as unrealistic as defeating the Demon Lord, I should first figure out how to get out of this forest."

After looking around, Shien immediately decided that this was not a place to linger.

After checking the sky, Shien roughly determined the time and direction from the sun's position. He then climbed a tall tree to look around for a while, chose a direction, and began pushing into the forest, using the Holy Sword in his hand to clear a path.

Shien did not notice at all that a shadow swept across the sky, its eyes gleaming viciously as it watched him move through the forest.
