Background / History

Shien is a human from another world who was summoned and reincarnated as a Hero to defeat the Demon Lord. He begins his new life in a dangerous forest with the Sacred Sword, a game-like status interface, and little understanding of the world's systems. Although his circumstances are extraordinary, he initially seeks a quiet, ordinary life rather than fame or a heroic legacy 2 15.

During his first days, Shien discovers that his Sacred Sword grants extreme advantages, including a level increase, skill-level enhancement, heavy damage reduction, immunity to negative statuses, and exceptional effectiveness against evil. He combines it with rapidly acquired, maxed skills to survive the forest and reach civilization 5 8 82.

At the Adventurer's Guild, Shien conceals the full extent of his abilities. The guild scanner identifies him as having no skills because it cannot register his Unique Skill, Special Skill, or skills above its detection limit 13. He joins Vivian's party for training, where Tier teaches him combat skills and helps him develop further 14 57.

Shien's identity as the Hero is gradually suspected by Vivian and Roxie, then eventually becomes public after his battle with Moro 147 149 649. He later becomes Roxie's legitimate Prince Consort and House Poztut is elevated to an honorary Marquis family as his achievements become widely known 461 833.

Personality

Shien is pragmatic, adaptable, and strongly averse to unnecessary attention. He does not seek to save or conquer the world for its own sake; he initially views his summoning as a transaction—Nien gave him another life, and he would fulfill the request to defeat the Demon Lord 15 228 389 681.

Despite this detachment, Shien repeatedly protects people he cares about. He reveals his identity to comfort Emerald, intervenes when he believes others are being mistreated, and becomes ruthless toward those who threaten his companions 350 412 643. He can be sarcastic and provocative in confrontations, often using intimidation and manipulation rather than direct violence when that is enough 83 828.
