After all, his cheat wasn't some omniscient, omnipotent cheat. He had no way of knowing that, in places beyond his awareness, he had received far more care than he imagined.

After parting ways with Tier and the others, Shien simply returned to the inn and slept like the dead, restoring his energy.

Then, the next day, Shien neither went to the Adventurer's Guild nor met up with Vivian's Squad. Instead, he left Lamigium alone and came to a stretch of woodland in the outskirts.

"This should be the place, right?"

Looking over the woodland that retained its natural scenery, Shien checked the location mentioned in his memories.

"Leave through the east gate, follow the main road south, then enter the woodland outside the city. This is definitely it."

But what was he supposed to do next?

Shien began to fret.

Fortunately, he did not need to worry for long before the person he was waiting for appeared on her own.

"You came?"

Accompanied by a somewhat cool voice, a girl in a black robe silently approached from ahead.

Who else could it be but Tier?

"Sorry, I'm late."

Tier replied calmly.

Their exchange seemed perfectly ordinary, but if Tier's attitude and tone had not been so cold, the words alone would have sounded exactly like the mushy greetings exchanged by a couple meeting for a date.

At least, that was how Shien saw it.

Unfortunately, neither of them meant it that way.

"Now that you're here, let's begin right away." Tier turned around and said, "First, let's go somewhere less conspicuous."

"Alright." Shien immediately followed her obediently.

It couldn't be helped. Today, Shien was here
