"Necromancy"

Behind the waterfall, within the stone wall.

This was an exceedingly complex space.

Passageways stretched in every direction. Though they resembled mining tunnels, surrounded by rock walls on all sides, magic lamps had been installed along the ceilings, illuminating the entire area.

Whoosh!

Amid a faint sound of tearing air, Shien teleported inside and arrived in this space.

"So this is what it looks like inside?"

Shien swiftly swept his gaze over his surroundings before slipping into the shadows and concealing himself.

Clang—clang—clang—clang—

Ahead of Shien, the Knights led by Limjo marched forward in neat formation. The sounds of iron boots striking the stone floor were especially distinct, even producing echoes.

"Follow them."

Shien did not hesitate for long before directly trailing behind them deeper inside.

Along the way, the Knights passed through one complicated tunnel after another, constantly turning as though traversing a maze, enough to make one dizzy.

Yet Limjo, who led the way, showed no confusion whatsoever. It was as though he had walked these paths countless times before. He kept turning without pause, occasionally pressing against a stone wall to open a passage and enter it, moving with complete familiarity.

"Looks like this guy has been staying here ever since he disappeared."

Thinking that, Shien kept close behind.

Gradually, as they ventured farther in, Shien began to see other people.

Some were Knights like Limjo's group, patrolling the area. Whenever they saw Limjo, they immediately stepped aside and bowed to him.

Others were slaves or servants doing hard labor. Some carried supplies, some maintained the mining tunnels, and some were digging at something, giving the place the bustling atmosphere of a construction site.

Shien observed them and found that their eyes were dull and their bodies somewhat malnourished. Clearly, they had not been living well.
